Engineered Around Our Proprietary 3-Position Ambidextrous Selector
The SAES+FRT™ has been developed around our proprietary 3-Position Ambidextrous Safety Selector, creating a complete system engineered to work together.
After thousands of test rounds and multiple design revisions, we discovered that proper selector geometry plays a critical role in overall system performance. Every Hybrid Edition includes our custom Trigger Trimming Jig, allowing users to modify a compatible trigger to the specifications required for proper operation.
One of our primary engineering goals was to eliminate the need for permanent modification to your firearm.
Only the trigger requires modification.
No cutting, grinding, or shaving of the lower receiver or upper receiver is required.
The included Trigger Trimming Jig is designed for use in a table vise or freehand, making it easy to consistently trim a compatible trigger.
Recommended Components
Preferred Fire Control Group
- PSA AR-15 / PA-10 EPT Enhanced Polished Fire Control Group
- This is the recommended and currently validated fire control group for High Shelf AR-15 lower receivers.
- Our High Shelf SAES+FRT™ has been engineered and tested around this trigger. At this time, it is the only fire control group that has been fully validated by Kuma Elite for reliable High Shelf operation.
Bolt Carrier Group
- Full-Auto Profile Bolt Carrier Group
- Any reputable manufacturer
Buffer Weight
- H3 Buffer
- Any reputable manufacturer
Testing Note: All engineering, validation, and performance testing for the SAES+FRT™ has been conducted using the PSA EPT Fire Control Group, a Full-Auto Profile Bolt Carrier Group, and an H3 Buffer. While other mil-spec fire control groups may function, they have not yet been fully validated by Kuma Elite.
Important: For High Shelf lower receivers, the PSA AR-15 / PA-10 EPT Fire Control Group is required for the tested Kuma Elite configuration. Other fire control groups have not been validated and may not provide proper function.
